Residents in Secret Harbour, Golden Bay and Singleton have been waiting nearly two weeks for their general waste items to be collected.
The City of Rockingham said the delay is due to a "significant increase in waste" in the suburbs.
The collection is currently underway and is expected to finish by September 24.
The set back means other area's collection dates have been changed.
Baldivis, Settlers Hills, Karnup and Keralup (area 7) will begin their verge collection on September 28.
Baldivis (area 8) have been given a date of October 11.
There will be three vehicles collecting waste based on the type.
The first is for general waste, followed by fridges, air-cons and e-waste (computers, screens and other electronic devices) and the third is for mattresses.
If you still have items on the verge after your pick-up, they will be collected by a specialised pick-up.
Please only place items on your verge (maximum of two square metres) the weekend before your property's collection date.
