A Mandurah father has made an appearance on Channel 10's The Project after a video of him riding a mobility scooter at the local skate park went viral.
Gavin Coyle was spotted zooming around the Mandurah Skate Park on his red gopher last week, performing tricks and entertaining onlookers.
A video was posted to TikTok and Instagram by the_harrington_sisters which has been viewed over 750,000 times.
In an interview with The Project on Tuesday night, the 52-year-old said he often "ripped up" the skate park in his mobility scooter.
"I rip up the park all the time but it's just never been filmed before," he said.
"I come down here all hours of the night and have fun, rip it up, do a few wheelies.
"I came past the skate park and saw a pile of kids acting sombre like someone had taken their Playstation of Game Boy off them...so i thought I better drop in and rip it up and put a smile on their faces."
Mr Coyle, who has named his mobility scooter 'Old Bettsy' claims it can reach speeds of up to 30km/h.
