WA Police have revealed they arrested a 23-year-old South Australian man near Mandurah earlier this month after he was allegedly in possession of a large quantity of drugs.
The man had flown in from Sydney and was getting out of a taxi in Barragup on March 3 when he was arrested.
A search of the man's duffle bag allegedly uncovered nearly 4kgs of methylamphetamine.
The man is currently before the courts and is next due to appear in the Perth District Court on April 14, 2023.
It comes after the State Government announced new powers will be given to police to stop and search people and vehicles at every formal entry point into WA in a bid to combat drug trafficking.
