A 15-year-old boy has been hit by a car in Cooloongup after allegedly trying to evade police.
Police Air Wing officers spotted some suspicious activity in the area around 1.20pm on Wednesday, May 17.
A police unit was sent in to intercept a motorcycle rider but when officers approached the bike outside a deli on Soraya Place it allegedly sped away from them.
About 20 seconds later the motorbike was hit by a car at the intersection of Westerly Way and Cambridge Crescent.
The rider tried to get back onto the motorbike but officers were quick to arrest him after a brief struggle.
The 15-year-old rider was taken to Rockingham Hospital for treatment of injuries he received in the crash.
The motorbike was seized and the investigation is ongoing.
Charges are yet to be laid.
