WA Police have seized 7500 cannabis plants from a property north of Gingin.
The plants were found inside 14 commercial scale greenhouses at the Red Gully property on Friday.
“The scale and sophistication of this operation was significant and led Police to seize more than 7,500 cannabis plants”, a WA Police Force spokesman said.
Nobody was at the property when officers arrived and investigations into this operation are continuing.
Officers from Taskforce Silverdrift, forensics and other specialist areas spent the weekend processing and dismantling the operation.
The seized cannabis was all destroyed.
Anyone with information regarding the property in Red Gully, or other properties where members of the public believe illicit drug growing activity may be taking place, is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or by visiting www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
