A woman who purchased an OZ Lotto ticket worth $5.9 million has come forward to claim her prize.
The woman from Perth’s southern suburbs said she wasn’t intending to buy an OZ Lotto ticket when she stopped by The Lucky Charm Waikiki.
“I went to the newsagent to buy a book, but they didn’t have it,” she said.
Instead of buying the book she walked away with a Slikpik 18 that matched the numbers to the entire $5.9 million Division One prize.
“I’ve been playing for donkey’s years and the most I have ever won is $66,” she said.
“This win is going to make a massive difference to my family.”
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said Tuesday night’s win makes 74 WA Division One winners for 2020.
“The next big chance for players to win big is the upcoming $30 million Megadraw on 2 January 2021,” Mr Mooney said.
