Today is Remembrance Day - Lest We Forget

Today marks Remembrance Day - to mark the end of World War 1.
At exactly the 11th hour, on the 11th day, of the 11th month… people all over Australia, from big cities to small towns like ours here in Mandurah, pause for just one minute. That single shared silence links generations... from those who served long ago, to those who still wear the uniform today.
Here’s something beautiful.
The red poppies we wear aren’t just a symbol of remembrance; they also fund support for veterans and their families right here in our community. Every poppy sold makes a difference to someone who gave so much.
There are Memorial Services all around the region, including the War Memorial on Leighton Road in Mandurah - starting at 10:15 with Voices in Harmony, then a Call to Action at 10:30 and at 11:00 am, a pause to remember those who served, followed by fellowship at the RSL Mandurah on Rouse Road.
And if you can’t make a Remembrance service – you can keep listening here on the Wave as we will take that minute at 11am.
Stop, breathe, remember… and be proud.
Lest we Forget.❤️🌺
