Beverly Hills 90210 star Shannen Doherty has passed away aged 53 after a long battle with cancer.
Doherty broke into the world of Hollywood as a child actor on the TV series Little House on the Prairie and went on to star in 80s movie classics like Girls Just Want to Have Fun and Heathers… but was best known for her breakout role as the feisty Brenda Walsh, twin sister to Brandon (Jason Priestly) in the teen cult-series Beverly Hills 90210.
This led her to be cast in Charmed as one of the three witchy Halliwell sisters alongside Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs.
Former cast members have paid tribute to their dear friend, including 90210's Brian Austin Green, who said, “Shan. My sister... You loved me through everything. You were a big part of my understanding of love. I’ll miss you more than I know how to process right now. Thank you for the gift of you.”
Shannen also hosts a podcast show titled 'Let's be Clear' and in the last episode she recorded, she spoke about her ongoing chemo treatment and her prognosis.
Vale, Shannen Doherty.
