Today, Birmingham is saying goodbye to one of its most iconic sons… the Prince of Darkness himself, Ozzy Osbourne.
A farewell procession will wind through the city, with Ozzy’s hearse joined by family, friends and fans… ending at the Black Sabbath bench on Broad Street. He’ll then be laid to rest in a private ceremony.
For fans around the world, a livestream of the tribute is available at BlackSabbathBench.co.uk.
Ozzy did have some requests for his funeral before he passed, saying in an interview… “I want to make sure it’s a celebration, not a mope-fest. I’d also like some pranks: maybe the sound of knocking inside the coffin. There’ll be no harping on the bad times.”
Rest easy, Ozzy!!
