Winona Ryder is joining the cast of Wednesday: Season 3.
Netflix have dropped a teaser trailer, showing Lurch at the Addams Family dining table, with place cards revealing all original cast members back on board, including, of course, Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams… and Winona Ryder’s place card teasing a character called Tabitha.
Wednesday: Season 3 is now in production.
Speaking of production... the Perth Film Studio is officially open.
The world-class complex situated near Whiteman Park features four major soundstages, production workshops, and is the largest backlot in the Southern Hemisphere - and designed to attract big international film and TV productions.
The project is expected to supercharge WA’s screen industry while creating new local jobs and opportunities behind the scenes.
Closer to home… the WA Made Film Festival was held in Perth on Sunday night, and Mandurah director Dylan Randall’s film, Reach for the Stars, won Best of the Fest.
The short sci-fi film, featuring a local Mandurah cast and a droid called B3R1, has also won five other awards around the world.
Dylan said, “The win is personal, as the film reflects my grandfather’s passing and how grief affects people differently. I hope it shows that a little wonder in film makes anything possible.”

The psychedelic music project will hit Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney before finishing with a massive hometown show in Perth, as part of the Deadbeat world tour, following the release of the new album Deadbeat, with tickets expected to move fast when they go on sale from tomorrow.
