James Tolkan, best known as the strict Principal Strickland in 'Back to the Future'', has passed away at 94.
He also was the authoritative commander in 'Top Gun.
The veteran character actor built a career spanning decades across film, TV, and theatre.
Tolkan died peacefully in New York and is remembered for his commanding on-screen presence.
He’s survived by his wife of 54 years.

'The End of Oak Road' lands on Apple TV+ on August 14.
