The winner of Channel 7’s Australian Idol has been crowned.
It was down to Kalani from Brisbane, Harlan from Queensland and Kesha from Jindabyne... all bringing their own unique flair and flavour.
But Australia has voted… and the verdict is in:
Yep! Kesha won $100,000 and a record deal, plus the title of Australian Idol 2026 - the first female to win in 19 years since Casey Donovan.
Sid Krofft, co-creator of H.R. Pufnstuf and Land of the Lost, has passed away peacefully in his sleep at 96.
A pioneering puppeteer and producer, Krofft - alongside his brother Marty Krofft - helped shape kids’ TV with colourful, surreal tv shows like Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, The Bugaloos, The Banana Splits Adventure Hour and more.
Their unique mix of live-action and puppetry built a lasting cult following and left a big imprint on television history.

It was then turned into a popular tv series in the 70s and now a whole new generation will fall in love with the Ingalls family and their midwestern adventures.
Starring Aussie’s own Luke Bracey as Pa alongside a wonderful cast - Little House on the Prairie, premieres July 9, only on Netflix.
