Australia Post has today released a Bluey Dollarbuck coin collection.
Ten $1 collectable Bluey coins are up for grabs featuring illustrations of the show's characters including everyone’s favourite blue heeler, Bluey, her little sister Bingo, plus their family and friends.
The 2024 Bluey Dollarbuck $1 coins can be purchased individually and one in every 10-coin set features a special-coloured coin.
Other coins in the Bluey range are available as part of a 10-coin tube and folder set.
Australia Post Executive General Manager Retail Josh Bannister said the new coin collection captures the playful charm of Bluey and its impact on Australian culture.
“We are excited to bring Bluey to the world of collectable coins. Whether you’re enchanted by Bluey’s adventures or someone who has enjoyed the show from its early days, these coins are a unique way for fans to connect with the characters they love and celebrate a show that has touched the hearts of families across Australia and beyond.”
Kate O’Connor Director of Brands and Licensing BBC Studios ANZ shared her excitement for the new Bluey Dollarbuck coin and stamp pack collections.
"These new Bluey Dollarbuck coins are more than just currency; they're a playful slice of Aussie culture, perfect for fans young and old. Whether you're starting a new collection or adding to a lifelong hobby, this latest coin and stamp range is a celebration of the joy Bluey brings to families. So, grab your coin purses and let the collecting begin!"
Royal Australian Mint CEO Leigh Gordon said the Mint is excited to collaborate with Australia Post and BBC Studios on this latest Bluey release.
“We hope that through this new Bluey program we are cultivating the coin collector of tomorrow. What better way to start your child’s or grandchild’s coin collection, than with a Bluey coin?”
