Baldivis had the highest uptake of the Student Assistance Payment in 2025, with $1.8 million distributed across local families.
The initiative delivered 424,005 payments state wide or $81.4 million – $250 for each secondary school student, and $150 for kindergarten and primary students – throughout Term 2 to assist WA parents and carers with costs associated with sending their children to school.
This was an almost eight per cent increase in the number of payments made compared to last year's program.
The suburbs with the highest uptake for claimed funds were Baldivis, Canning Vale and Ellenbrook.
Secret Harbour was also among the top 20 suburbs with $550,000 distributed to local families.
“This was made possible by incredible efforts from our schools, and I want to thank them for supporting the Government’s strong focus this year on lifting claim rates in key regions," Education Minister Sabine Winton said.
“We know these payments have made a difference for WA students, helping to set them up for success with the everyday essentials they need to thrive at school.”
