A 14-year-old boy has been charged with starting a scrub fire in Warwick.
The boy from Nollamara is accused of setting fire to scrub in the Warwick Open Space yesterday.
This quickly resulted in a fire on Lloyd Drive which burnt around two hectares of bushland.
DFES attended the scene and extinguished the fire.
Detectives from the Arson Squad and Strike Force Vulcan have charged the boy with:
- Wilfully Light or Cause to be Lit a Fire Likely to Injure or Cause Damage.
He is due to appear at the Perth Children's Court next month.
