The local community has rallied behind a Safety Bay family whose home went up in flames last week.
The blaze started in the garage of the rental property on Port Royal Drive on Friday night, quickly spreading to the front of the house.
Luckily the family were able to escape unharmed with firefighters bringing the blaze under control in 15 minutes.
A GoFundMe page has since been launched to help raise money for a mother and her 12-year-old son, Kohl, who has special needs.
"Kohl, his mother, their dog and rabbit escaped unharmed but lost all of there possessions," Kohl's grandmother Carol said.
"What wasn't burnt was destroyed by water or smoke.
"Kohl is turning 13 at the end of the month and this fundraiser is to help Kohl, and his mother get back on their feet and to wish Kohl a very happy 13th Birthday."
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services said the fire was caused by an electrical fault.
