A 20-year-old woman has been charged after a stolen vehicle failed to stop for police in Coodanup.
At around 11:50pm on Saturday, Mandurah Police were on patrol when they saw a blue Suzuki Alto hatch, which had been reported stolen, being driven on Pinjarra Road in Coodanup.
An attempt was made to stop the vehicle, however it will be alleged the driver failed to stop and the attempt to stop the vehicle was aborted a short time later.
The Suzuki was then later seen being driven on Gordon Road in Greenfields.
The officers did not attempt to stop the vehicle and monitored its movements through several streets.
It is further alleged the car was driven west along Cooper Street, before failing to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Anstruther Road and crashed into a Toyota Camry that was being driven south on Anstruther Road.
The three occupants of the Suzuki exited the vehicle.
One of the passengers was arrested at the scene, while the driver and a second passenger fled on foot.
The driver was arrested a short distance away.
No one was injured in the crash, however a St John Ambulance was called to the scene as a precaution.
The driver of the stolen Suzuki, a 20-year-old woman from Coodanup, has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle and driving recklessly, failing to stop, reckless driving and no authority to drive.
She is due to appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court on Tuesday March 17.
The passenger was released without charge.
The investigation into other incidents linked to the stolen vehicle is ongoing.
