Dawesville residents have been left shocked after CCTV emerged of a driver appearing to deliberately run down a kangaroo and her joey.
It happened near the intersection of Macedon Way and Kamak Parkway around 12.30am on Tuesday, both the mother and joey killed on impact.
Jenny Norton from Perth Marsupial Care told 10News it is beyond belief why someone would intentionally run down a kangaroo.
"I'm devastated and disgusted why anyone would do this on purpose, these poor kangaroos in Dawesville, they're trapped here, they have no where to go," she said.
RSPCA WA have been contacted for comment.
Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or the RSPCA cruelty line on 1300 278 3589.
