Detectives hunt group of men over series of South West burglaries

PIC: WA Police

Detectives are hunting a group of men believed to be involved in a series of burglaries across the South West.

The incidents happened between 2am and 6.40am on Saturday, November 4.

Around 2am, a Holden Commodore and an Izuzu Dmax were stolen from a business in Davenport.

Then, around 3.40am, a liquor store in Dunsborough was targeted with a large amount of cash, alcohol and cigarettes stolen.

A shopping centre in Broadwater was their next target at 4.15am, followed by a service station in Busselton at 4.30am.

Around 5am, another burglary happened at a tavern in Capel and a staff member was threatened.

"During these incidents, detectives believe several men utilised the stolen vehicles to move between each location," a WA Police spokesperson said.

"Around 6:40am, the two stolen vehicles were set ablaze – the Izuzu was located near Capel River and the Holden Commodore was located in North Boyanup."

Detectives are now calling for anyone who may have sighted a white VW Golf hatch (no registration plates), a white Isuzu D-Max utility (registration 1HOM454) or a white Holden Commodore station wagon ( registration 1EXB174) travelling in the South West area to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
