A Dudley Park man has been charged over an alleged road rage incident in Mandurah.
The alleged victim was driving along Pinjarra Road in a red Hyundai i30 just after 12.45pm on Saturday when he stopped at the traffic lights at the intersection of Sutton Street.
The accused, who was driving a dark blue vehicle, stopped behind the alleged victim before getting out of his car and approaching the driver.
"It will be alleged the offender punched the victim several times through an open window, and the assault continued once the victim was out of his vehicle," a WA Police spokesperson said.
"Several members of the public intervened and stopped the assault from continuing."
The victim, a man in his 50s, suffered bruising and cuts to his face.
A 45-year-old Dudley Park man was later arrested and charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm.
He is due to appear before the Mandurah Magistrates Court on February 23.
