The new operators of the historic Edenvale Homestead in Pinjarra have been announced.
Local business, Groundswell, was selected by the Shire of Murray after a competitive expression of interest process.
Shire of Murray President David Bolt said the Shire was impressed with Groundswell’s plan for the Tea Rooms, with a focus on local produce and their business success in the Peel region.
“The Edenvale Heritage Precinct is an iconic and multi-award-winning venue for Pinjarra – a cultural landmark renowned for its rich history, arts, events and striking built landscape,” said Shire President Bolt.
“Council was pleased to see that the Groundswell team shares the same values for Edenvale. To create a fantastic local destination venue, all while maintaining the rich history and heritage of the location.”
“We are thrilled to see what’s to come for the next chapter of Edenvale,” he said.
The Homestead, nestled within the precinct is highly valued by locals and well-frequented by visitors from the metropolitan and south-west.
Others who call the bustling precinct home include the vintage machinery museum, art gallery, art and craft shop, art school, quilters shop and the area’s historical society.
Groundswell Operator Lynne Gould said she can’t wait to bring classic Australian with a fine dining twist to Pinjarra.
“From brunches, to high teas and casual dining, we will have something for everyone at Edenvale. We will also be hosting ticketed events for the community to enjoy this space,” she said.
“With a large focus on using local produce, we aim to reflect the story of Edenvale throughout our menu. We look forward to reigniting the Precinct with a strong sense of community and local pride.”
This will be the third Groundswell Café in the Peel region.
The first Groundswell café opened in Mandurah in 2018 as the flagship store for their coffee roastery Frothin’ Coffee.
The second opened in 2023 at the Food Innovation Precinct Western Australia in Stake Hill.
