A mad Eagles fan has claimed a $6 million Lotto win.
The grandmother took out the entire division one prize in last Saturday's Lotto draw and celebrated by bringing three of her four children and two of her grandchildren to share the Lotterywest Winner’s Room experience with her.
“They are my reason for being,” the grandmother said.
“So of course I will be sharing the experience and the prize with them.
“We will celebrate with a three-generation family meal this weekend.”
Once she realised her Play Online Slikpik 21 had matched the winning numbers, she couldn’t wait to share the good news.
“I was posting messages in the family chat and calling my children, but no-one was picking up, because the Eagles were playing,” she said.
One of her daughters took up the story.
“Mum is a mad Eagles fan and we won’t reach her during an Eagles game, so none of us expected to hear from her,” she said. “I was at the gym and I kept getting notifications on my watch, so I was worried something had happened.
“It was the best kind of ‘something has happened’!”
The grandmother said travel and more time in her garden were first on her agenda.
“I have always wanted to go to Canada with my husband – now we can make that a family trip,” she said.
“I’ve also never been to New Zealand. It’s exciting thinking about where to go next.”
