Mandurah Detectives have charged a 37 year old man with numerous offences after its alleged he threatened and assaulted a woman in her 20s who is known to him.
It is alleged on several occasions during April 2019, the man shouted abuse and threatened the woman as well as physically assaulting her. It is also alleged on one occasion he assaulted and threatened her with an axe.
It is also alleged on other occasions he held her against her will in a vehicle and in her home. It’s alleged during one incident the victim attempted to flee from the man and he physically restrained and assaulted her.
A 37-year-old man from Butler has been charged with:-
• Two counts of Deprivation of Liberty; and
• Three counts of Aggravated Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm.
He is due to appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court today, 9 May 2019.
