 
                                    A man has been charged after allegedly breaking into a home in Mandurah while the elderly victim was asleep.
The 21-year-old man is accused of gaining entry to the home on Scott Street around 7.20am on November 4 and rummaging through the property while the 78-year-old woman was asleep in her bedroom.
The man then allegedly fled the home with various items after being disturbed by the homeowner.
The accused also allegedly committed a second burglary on the same street shortly after.
Nobody was home at the time.
The Midland man has since been charged with two counts of home burglary and commit, three counts of stealing, one count of breaching bail and possessing a prohibited drug.
He is next due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on December 5.
