A 50-year-old man has been charged in relation to an offence in 2017.
Sex Assault Squad detectives have charged a 50-year-old man after an investigation into an assault that occurred in Mount Lawley in 2017.
On August 18 at around 8:40am, a 15-year-old girl was jogging along Clifton Crescent near the alleyway between Second and Third Avenues.
It is alleged he attempted to abduct the girl after assaulting and threatening her before she was able to break free and run away.
The 50-year-old has been charged with:
- Assault with intent to commission a crime
- Detained another with intent to prevent/hinder person doing act
- Threaten to kill
The man is due to appear at the Perth Magistrates Court later this month.
