A new jump track is set to be built in Wandi after calls from the local community for more bike and skate infrastructure.
The track will be installed at the Honeywood Adventure Playground by award-winning trail development company Three Chillies Design.
Mayor Peter Feasey said it was an exciting time for Wandi residents, and the Kwinana community as a whole, to have a jump track just around the bend.
“The aim of the jump track is to give beginner and younger riders a good introduction to jumping and allow them to grow in confidence with their bike handling skills in a safe setting,’ Mayor Feasey said.
“The high-quality beginner level track includes a two-jump line with a catch berm,” he said.
The track will be completely hard surfaced with either red/brown asphalt or polymer stabilised hard surfacing to minimise ongoing maintenance costs and provide longevity.
Construction is expected to begin in December 2025 or January 2026.
