A new-look Rediscover Rockingham website, which highlights the wide variety of activities and experiences on offer in the town, has been launched.
The new website has been launched by the Penguin Island Visitor Centre (PIVC), which delivers visitor servicing on behalf of the City through a fee-for-service agreement.
Following the latest update the Rediscover Rockingham website now includes business listings for all tourism related businesses in Rockingham.
The website will continue to be developed and updated regularly to showcase the range of attractions available in Rockingham.
Visitation to the new website will be supported by the City’s dedicated Rediscover Rockingham social media channels on Facebook and Instagram.
Mayor Deb Hamblin said the launch of the new Rediscover Rockingham website would support destination marketing, which is a key element of the City’s Tourist Destination Strategy (TDS).
“A strategic objective in the City’s TDS is to establish and promote Rockingham as a coastal and adventure destination which offers unique coastal facilities and scenery, as well as various outdoor adventures,” Mayor Hamblin said.
“The launch of the new Rediscover Rockingham website supports this objective and will act as a one-stop shop that highlights all tourism operators within the Rockingham region.
“We have more than 250 tourism and hospitality business in our City, and providing a platform that makes it easy for potential visitors to see the stunning natural beauty and array of activities on offer will help to grow tourism and economic development.”
The PIVC will be getting in touch with tourism and hospitality businesses in the coming months to discuss opportunities.
