The WA police internal affairs unit have charged a 32-year-old police staff member with corruption.
The Police Assistance Centre staff member from Middle Swan is alleged to have received over $16,000 after releasing information obtained from police computers.
The offences occurred between August 2017 and January of this year.
The staff member is suspended from duty and will appear in Midland Magistrates Court next Tuesday.
