Nearly half of eligible voters have already cast their vote in the Rockingham by-election.
WA Electoral Commissioner Robert Kennedy said locals were keen to get their votes in early.
"Almost 50 per cent of Rockingham voters have already voted either in person at our early voting centre on Commodore Drive in Rockingham or via post," Commissioner Kennedy said.
"It's a really popular turnout...they like to vote early in Rockingham apparently."
Polling day is Saturday, July 29.
There are 10 locations across Rockingham where locals can cast their vote from 8am to 6pm.
It is compulsory for people over the age of 18 living in Rockingham, East Rockingham, Safety Bay, Shoalwater, Garden Island, Hillman, Peron, parts of Cooloongup and parts of Waikiki to vote in the by-election.
The by-election was triggered by the resignation of Mark McGowan.
Labor's candidate Magenta Marshall remains the frontrunner to replace the former Premier and Member for Rockingham.
