A Secret Harbour toddler has become the latest victim of the influenza virus.
The West Australian reports the two-year-old boy, who was in foster care, was taken to hospital on Saturday suffering from flu related symptoms.
He died a short time later.
According to The West, the toddler had been vaccinated against the flu.
Figures released by the WA Department of Health reveal 48 people have now died as a result of the flu this year, compared with just four at the same time last year.
