The City of Rockingham would like the community to share their thoughts on the proposal through a survey.
The City is looking at increasing the number of boat ramps at the Port Kennedy Boat Launching Facility from two to four.
The Port Kennedy Boat Launching Facility is located at the western end of Port Kennedy Drive. The existing facility is a concrete boat ramp with two operational boat launching and retrieval lanes and a centralised holding jetty.
The car park at the boat ramp has capacity for 26 standard car parking bays, with two allocated for accessible parking. In addition, it has 81 boat trailer parking bays, with associated service lanes for rigging/reversing trailered vessels.
“As the facility is already serving as one of the City’s leading boat launching facilities, the City is currently exploring the options for potential future improvements at the site,” City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels said.
“The City is focused on ensuring that the facility can continue to meet the needs of the community in future, which is why we are keen for boat ramp users to share their thoughts with us in the Port Kennedy Boat Ramp Duplication Survey.”
The survey is open until 4pm, Friday 24 July 2020.
