The Waroona Agricultural Society Committee has made the hard decision to cancel this year’s show.
The committee president made the announcement on Thursday night, putting the decision down to the extra work load on volunteers and the added health risk to the community.
"On behalf of the Waroona Agricultural Society Committee I would like to notify that with the COVID-19 phase 4 restrictions still in place and with the added workload for our volunteers, we feel that the health and well-being of our committee, volunteers and the broader community are of paramount importance to us," Committee President Eric Walmsley said.
"With careful consideration and heartfelt disappointment, we have decided that this years' 90th Waroona Show will be postponed to 2021."
The show was scheduled to be held Saturday, October 10 and would have attracted thousands of visitors to the area.
