According to Western Power, about 3826 customers are affected in Singleton, Golden Bay, Lakelands, Madora Bay and Karnup.
The estimated restoration time is 5pm but it could be sooner.
There is also a small power outage in Secret Harbour affecting 95 customers.
The estimated restoration time is 3pm.
"Unplanned outages are an interruption to the transmission or distribution of electricity that is unscheduled," the Western Power website stated.
"We endeavour to resolve issues and minimise impact as soon as we can."
