Police have revealed three people, including a young boy, were injured following this morning jetty incident at Rottnest Island.
Authorities confirmed two women, aged 63 and 48, received lower leg injuries during the time of the incident.
One of the women had a leg trapped and remained in the water at Tomsen's Bay for some time before being freed. Both women were taken to Royal Perth Hospital.

An 11-year-old boy received head injuries and was unconscious when emergency services arrived at the scene.
The boy was rushed to Perth Children's Hospital where he regained consciousness.
