  • The last milk bottle rolled off the production line in Queensland in 1996.
  • J.K. Rowling finished writing the 7th and last Harry Potter novel Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in room 552 of the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh in 2007.
  • Sir Edmund Hilary, the first man to climb Mount Everest (along with his guide Tenzing Norgay) died aged 88 in 2008.
