Rockingham Detectives have charged a man in relation to a crash that occurred in Cooloongup on Wednesday morning.
The 37-year-old male was driving a blue Ford Focus hatchback when he allegedly struck a man riding a BMX bicycle on Wyola Street.
It will also be alleged that the driver did not stop after the crash and drove away without rendering assistance to the victim.
The 34-year-old male cyclist received head injuries as a result of the crash and was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital under priority conditions.
The driver of the ford focus and the cyclist are known to each other.
The 37-year-old driver from Cooloongup has been charged with failure to ensure assistance is received after an incident occasioning bodily harm, and failure to report an incident occasioning bodily harm
He is due to appear before the Rockingham Magistrates Court on February 13.
