Nominations for the Shire of Murray 2025 Community Citizen of the Year awards are now open.
Shire President David Bolt said the Shire always receives an outstanding calibre of nominees for the Community Citizen of the Year Awards.
“The awards celebrate many citizens and groups who go above and beyond in serving our district”, Shire President Bolt said.
“We are very lucky to be filled with phenomenal citizens in the Shire of Murray who are engaged and committed to our local area and they deserve to be recognised and celebrated."
The awards are made up of four categories: Community Citizen of the Year, Young Community Citizen of the Year, Senior Community Citizen of the Year, and Active Citizenship.
Nominations can be made for contributions to education, health, fundraising, voluntary services, business, sports, arts, the environment, social inclusion or any other area that enhances the wellbeing of the community.
Nominations are open until October 31, 2024 and can be submitted at www.citizenshipawards.com.au/nominate.
Recipients will be awarded at the 2025 Australia Day celebrations.
