A Parmelia couple have claimed a winning Lotto ticket worth over $1.3 million.
The ticket was sold at The Kwinana Hub Lottery Centre and News for last Saturday's Lotto draw.
The woman said she joked about winning after hearing the ticket was sold in their area.
“I heard someone in Kwinana had won, so I went around telling everyone it was me,” she said.
“Eventually I checked the ticket, however I actually missed the line with the winning numbers.
“My son was looking over my shoulder and said “Mum, look, they are the numbers.
“I guess the joke was on me in the end.”
The couple said they planned to wipe off debt and look after their children and grand kids.
“Perhaps a Harley for every day of the week would be nice,” the man said.
Kwinana Hub Lottery Centre and News Owner Peter Andersson said it was wonderful to celebrate a local win.
“We always want to see our locals have a win, and we’ve been here for 19 years and this is now our 13th Division One prize,” he said
