Peel region businesses and organisations are encouraged to apply for Round 8 of the Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program, offering funding for local projects that create jobs and strengthen economic growth.
A total of $5 million is available across regional Western Australia, with Peel-based businesses and organisations able to apply for up to $250,000 per project.
The program aims to support locally driven initiatives that expand or diversify industry, build skills and capability, boost productivity, and attract new investment into regional communities.
The Peel region has already seen significant benefits from previous rounds of RED funding, with the Peel Development Commission delivering 42 local projects worth more than $5 million to date.
Among the local success stories is Mandurah Indoor Rock Climbing, which received a $60,000 RED Grant in Round 7 to expand its facility with a new, state-of-the-art bouldering area.
The project created 11 local jobs and provided the community with a safe and inclusive space for fitness and connection.
In earlier rounds, companies like Kanyana Engineering have also benefited.
The business used a $100,000 grant to invest in high-tech fabrication machinery, improving safety and production in mining and rail supply while creating new local employment opportunities and upskilling workers.

Applications for Round 8 are now open and close on January 9, 2026.
