Major Crash officers are investigating a fatal crash in Hopeland yesterday, which has claimed the life of an elderly woman.
Just before 10am, a maroon coloured Toyota Kluger station-wagon and a white Toyota Landcruiser utility collided at the intersection of Hopeland and Karnup Roads.
The occupants of the Kluger, an 82-year-old man, a 61-year-old woman, and three young girls, were all injured as a result of the crash and conveyed to Rockingham Hospital.
The 61-yer-old woman, who was the front passenger, did not recover from her injuries and died in hospital.
The 20-year-old male driver of the Landcruiser received minor injuries.
Major Crash Investigation officers are urging anyone who saw the crash or the Toyota Landcruiser or the Toyota Kluger travelling in the area prior to the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage of either vehicles, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au
