An 18-year-old man has been charged after allegedly doing burnouts in Port Kennedy before crashing into a tree.
The man was allegedly behind the wheel of a white Ford Falcon sedan when he started doing burnouts along Laguardia Loop around 6.20pm on Wednesday, November 13.
"Subsequently, the man crashed into a tree outside a residence on the intersection of San Sebastian Boulevard and Toledo Court," a WA Police spokesperson said.
The driver and his teenage passenger were not injured.
The vehicle suffered extensive damage and a surrender notice was issued.
The driver, a Leda man, has been charged with one count of reckless driving.
He is due to appear before the Rockingham Magistrates Court on January 8, 2025.
