On Monday 12 October 2020, a Subaru Impreza was stolen from a home on Dawson Street, Armadale.
Yesterday, 13 October 2020, officers on patrol sighted the stolen Subaru Impreza on Forrest Highway, South Yunderup.
Police engaged in a pursuit around 10:20am and a stinger was successfully deployed along Forrest Highway, just before the Pinjarra Road overpass.
The Subaru travelled across the median strip and onto the southbound lanes of the highway, before colliding with a Toyota RAV4.
The driver of the Subaru Impreza, a man in his 30s, received minor injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospitals.
The driver of the Toyota RAV4, a woman in her 50s, received minor injuries and was taken to Peel Health Campus.
A 31-year-old man from Armadale has been charged with:
· 1 x Reckless Driving to escape Pursuit by Police
· 1 x Driver failed to comply with a direction to stop (Circumstances of Aggravation)
· 1 x Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm (Circumstances of Aggravation)
· 1 x Endanger life, health and safety
· 1 x No Authority to Drive
· 1 x Steal Motor vehicle and drive recklessly
· 1 x Steal Motor vehicle
